Whitney Houston was survived by her only child, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Brown, 18, was “not doing well,” hours after learning of the death according to her father.
TMZ.com adds that Brown was hospitalised, twice, after learning of her mother’s passing.
Brown went to the Beverly Hilton Hotel’s fourth floor room 434 where her mother’s body lay, only to be turned away by the police who’d sealed the room in anticipation of a search warrant (Houston’s cousin Dionne Warwick and Houston’s on-off boyfriend Ray J were also turned away from the room the same afternoon).
Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. on Saturday. At 11: p.m. the same day, Brown, went to hospital by some means other than ambulance during which time sources say she was ”hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”
Brown was also transported on a stretcher to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, from the same location at which her mother was found, the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Us Weekly sources say Brown was treated for stress.
“Her life will be shattered,” a source told Us Weekly. “Bobbi was always by [Whitney's] side in everything she did.”
Another source says Brown is having “a total breakdown…She is freaking out, uncontrollably sobbing. Everybody is worried.”
People.com’s sources also say Brown is having a ”complete breakdown,” adding, “She went back to the hospital for the same thing: stress and anxiety.” Brown was later cleared medically and released.
she will be missed by many.this is a horrible tragedy and my heart goes out to her family.she had a beautiful talent in singing and i used to try to sing like her when i was a kid and would give my mom a headache especially if she didnt have her coffee yet.lol.she will be missed by millions and she was so beautiful and just got herself in a battle that she couldnt get out of.ive been there as well.i love u whitney and rest in peace
R.I.P whitney houston. I was sad when i heard the news over a text message. I was over my friends house when i heard the news. She was one of the greatest singers of all time. I hope Bobbi Kristina brown is doing ok.
I cried for Bobbi, it is obvious that her best friend and her mother has passed. I hope she keeps the love of everyone around her close…and know that we are all not perfect and no one has the right to judge. Your mother was a beautiful woman and blessed with a beautiful spirit and she is watching you from up above. She will be missed and she will live on through you, Bobbi Christina…make her proud…my prayers go out to you and your family
God rest her soul. My heart aches as if she was a part of my family. My heart goes out to Whitneys family and especially Bobbi Kristina, I weep for you my friend. I can imagine what you are feeling cause I know how I felt when I lost my mother. I am praying for your strength daily and that God will give you an imaginable peace that passeth all understanding. We love you Whitney and you will be dearly missed.
I first fell in love with Whitney when I saw her on the Merv Griffin Show, with Clive Davis. I loved her spirit and singing then and I love it now. She has returned home to sing in the heavenly choir amongst the other angels.
