Back in mid-July, Kristen Stewart spent a whole day driving around Los Angeles cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with Snow White & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. She was photographed with Sanders’ head in her lap, appearing to engage in public foreplay, not caring who saw barring the occasional bystander. The affair covered Us Weekly Magazine about a week later. Ahead of which the tabloid forewarned Stewart, who had the chance to confess to Pattinson over the phone. The cover story broke, so did the apology for the cheating, and it covered every tabloid for a month (which inspired retributive acts by fans).
It’s been four months since the affair. In which time both have done multiple press tours (for Cosmpoplis, On The Road, and now Twilight). Pattinson’s coming off somewhere in between the nice guy and the weak cuckold and Stewart’s somewhere between the “whore” on the casting couch and the infantilised ingenue. Mostly, they’ve both come out the other side unscathed (if Stewart’s incessant smirking and the lack of questions about her cheating during interviews is anything to go by).
It had already been established that Pattinson and Stewart would reconcile before the premiere, they were obliged to attend the premiere, they were being pressured to kiss at the premiere, and it’s thought they will break up right after.
But the fans don’t seem to care. It just makes them want more. The fans in Los Angeles have been camping out, literally, since Friday morning for Monday night’s premiere. And fans in London are doing the same days ahead of the premiere there.
Included are photos from the Los Angeles Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn: Part Two premiere of Pattinson in the green custom Gucci suit he says he “designed” (not the first time he’s worn a green suit either). Stewart wore a very revealing Zuhair Murad dress. The couple posed together on the red carpet and looked comfortable, after spending time together recently, including Halloween.
