Daft Punk’s recent chart success with Get Lucky, featuring Pharrell Williams, reignited fans’ interests in the musical duo, real names of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. In particular, since the “robots” often wear their helmets in public—for example, during a recent appearance at the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix—it’s piqued fans’ interests in what they really look like without helmets on.
Well, because of another band who are over-enthusiastically Facebooking everything about their own lives, there is now a recent photo (as opposed to all the old ones of the same floating around a Google away) taken this month in which you can see Daft Punk’s faces.
Early Wednesday, music duo The Knocks posted a Facebook photo of an unmasked Daft Punk playing beer pong within the office of their record label, Columbia.
The Knocks quickly deleted the photo, presumably after being chided for sharing something it wasn’t their place to share in a trusted space, and replaced it with a notice saying “GUESS WE WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO POST THAT PIC :X” in a thread in which fans re-posted shared links to the same photo… this photo.
