This could go downhill, really, really fast. Last week, it was unofficially announced that Britney Spears would join X Factor for $15 million, with the support of a judge and her conservators. Although, at the time, Spears had not signed a deal because she was not legally allowed to sign anything on her own. But the 30-year-old’s team negotiated her fee, and terms, for weeks, after which both sides were satisfied.
Turns out it’s all been build-up for today. Fox will have its Upfront event Monday at which it’s obliged, for scheduling reasons, to announce the entire X Factor judging panel.
And before the big announcement, it has been revealed that a second corrupted Disney star has been added to the roster, Demi Lovato; marking Lovato’s return to scheduled television, while still in recovery for behavioural, drug, and eating issues.
Lovato is signing-up for a stressful job that has grueling days, taking place over many months. Despite her recent admission that she’s still throwing up and she’s not entirely recovered.
Moreover, Lovato said three-weeks ago she would be responsible and not compromise her health for anything because she’s too “fragile” right now: “I need to be secure in my body before I go back in front of the camera. Anyone in recovery from an eating disorder would find that triggering, and I’m not ready. ” So.. she wasn’t ready late April, but she’s ready now?!
