Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita recently spoke to allthingsrh.com and gave them the inside scoop on topics from her son to her feuds.
Laurita reveals that she became a part of the show when producers contacted the local salon and asked for the name of some mothers. Laurita’s name was given to them and, out of curiosity, she spoke to the recruiters landed herself a spot on the now infamous show. She spills, “I was hesitant. It took me a while to sign my contract. I just didn’t know what I was getting into but at the same time I was very curious.” Laurita goes on to say that she never cared about becoming famous but she knew that this was a once in a lifetime experience and for the self-professed “open book” she knew that she would have no problem sharing her life with the world.
One subject that Laurita did not shy away from was her four-year-old son Nicholas’ autism diagnosis. “I just don’t want anyone to ever be ashamed of Autism diagnosis. I want people to be open about it, help educate others, and raise more awareness,” she spills. By sharing her journey with autism, she received a lot of feedback filled with love and support that motivated her and kept her going when she thought she would break. She continues, “The support of others is what gives us the strength, hope, and encouragement to preserve in our quest to recover our child and has inspired us to give back, help as many others as we can, and give them hope.”
Laurita also addressed rumors that she makes amends with frenemy Teresa Giudice. Laurita disclosed that her fight with her son’s autism is her biggest battle and that she really does not have time for petty fights. “There comes a point where you just get tired of the unnecessary fighting and all the negative energy it brings,” Laurita preached.
