Kourtney Kardashian posed in a bikini for Life & Style Magazine soon after the birth of her first child early 2010. She has posed for Life & Style before, but it’s been a while and Life & Style is reusing old photos in a fabricated story about Kardashian’s weight loss in 2012.
Kardashian found out and called them out publicly for misleading readers. Moreover, it screwed with a real cover for Us Weekly who actually paid for the baby body exclusive this time around. “That bikini shoot is almost 3 years old after my first baby. For the real reveal after baby #2 check out next week’s issue of US @usweekly!” Kardashian tweeted on Wednesday.
A magazine “insider” offers some insight as to why magazines lie on their covers: “This cover is brilliant,” a source told The Huffington Post about Life & Style using an old photo for a new cover. “Life & Style knew Kourtney was selling new images after her baby and knew Us Weekly had secured them. In order to ruin its competitor’s exclusive, they went with their own weight loss cover this week. It’s genius. By the time the real [images] appear, it will feel like old news.”
For what it’s worth, the cover says: “Kourtney Exclusive: How She Lost 45 lbs. I got my body back! Her no-starve, still-shrink diet; The belly-blasting, walking workout; The salty snack that burns calories.” And the “exclusive” is quotes from a “friend” so no interview with Kardashian as is nebulously-worded on the cover.
Life & Style has learned that Kourtney Kardashian has reached her goal of being bikini ready by New Year’s and has dropped the baby weight from giving birth to Penelope, her second child with Scott Disick on July 8 .
“Kourtney is wearing sample sizes again, so she’s a size 2,” a friend tells Life & Style. “Her figure is amazing!”
Since September, Kourt’s been jogging and doing lunges on the Miami Beach sand and she’s joined sister Kim in intense two-hour Tracy Anderson Method workouts, which keep muscles long, not bulky.
This time around, Kourtney, 33, took it slow, exercising and cutting calories in moderation — even if that meant not fitting back into her skinny clothes at Hollywood’s typical warp speed. “I gained nearly 45 pounds,” she says of her pregnancy with Penelope. “And I’m 5 feet tall, so that’s a lot!”
Kourtney has also followed a healthy lowcal eating plan, sticking to unprocessed foods and lots of salad. When she was breastfeeding Mason, Kourtney says: “I craved sweets, so I ate a box of Nilla Wafers a day. But I haven’t done that this time.”
Now a svelte size 2, “Kourtney really has no fat on her body,” the friend tells Life & Style. “She looks great!” – via Life & Style Magazine.
Included is the Life & Style cover, this week’s Star cover with Kim Kardashian’s beach body (for which her bathing suit has been Photoshopped from black to green), and the Kourtney & Kim Take Miami promo released a few days ago showing heavily-edited and out-of-context staged “fights.”
