According to reports out of New York, Snooki is expecting. The 24-year-old is reportedly three-months pregnant with her first child.
Snooki has been on the promotional trail for her contrived spin-off for months and at the very beginning, on February 2, during an interview with Good Morning America, Snooki was asked whether she was pregnant as speculated in the tabloids. She appears to have lied with her response: “I definitely do want kids, but I’m not pregnant. Being pregnant should be a real thing and a happy thing, and I’m not.”
Star Magazine claimed the exclusive with a sourced pregnancy announcement and what followed were claims that Snooki still slept around with randoms and ex-boyfriends and she could have no idea which of four men, at least, were the baby’s father. Appearing to just want to see his name in print, ex-boyfriend Emilio Masella, 23, told HollywoodLife.com “The real question is if Jionni is the father or me… Do you think she has only slept with one person the past year? I would have a chance that I can be the father. I would get a paternity test to get see who the father is. I would donate my DNA test to see. I can be the father, Vinny, Jionni or Mike. There are a lot of suspects with her. She’s good at lying and can get away with anything with Jionni.” And, honestly, she portrays herself as slutty on Jersey Shore so it’s fair to question paternity. But not like this.
And now Page Six claims that Snooki lied in order to shill for an exclusive, paid baby deal. Specifically, she landed an Us Weekly cover after shopping the news around several tabloids.
“MTV went into crisis mode after they found out,” said a source. “They’re trying to hide it because it would greatly affect the creative direction of the show.” Asked for comment, a rep for MTV said it “doesn’t comment on series in production.”
** UPDATE: TMZ.com reports that Snooki had two excuses for lying 1) she was only two-months pregnant when the news leaked 2) she was offended people thought her heavy-enough that she looked pregnant in the stomach. Two photos from February 2, so you can judge for yourself.
