MTV’s Jersey Shore is winding down for its final season in Seaside Heights of which parts have been wiped off the map by Sandy. One of the show’s least notable cast members, subjectively, is Vinny Guadagnino. Who if you recall started seasons one and two as the “chubby one” and the “goofy one” with no game who was largely a third-wheel when hanging with the other boys and who took home their leftovers. Admittedly, Guadagnino has come into his own this season and the last. He’s still not headline-worthy, nor in relationships this season because he’s supposedly abstaining. But he does appear to have grown up and he’s relatable.
Relatable enough, apparently, that he’s getting his own show on MTV. A weekly talk show called The Show With Vinny.
If you’ve ever watched an episode of Jersey Shore where… Vinny Guadagnino sits down for a meal with his large, and lively, extended family, you know it’s a one-of-a-kind experience.
Soon, it’s going to be more like a once-a-week deal when Vinny becomes the latest member of the Shore… to score a spin-off show thanks to his upcoming talk show/reality series, The Show With Vinny.
The series will turn the typical talker on its head by taking celebrities out of the studio and into the Guadagnino Staten Island, New York, home for a chat accented with ziti and Bracioline.
The groundbreaking show will mix the reality of Guadagnino’s home life with off-the-cuff and unscripted interviews with some of Hollywood’s finest. It will also, of course, feature some of the most beloved members of Vinny’s extended family, including his hostess with the mostest mother Paula and hard-partying uncle Nino throwing in their two cents.
“Vinny’s unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format,” said Chris Linn, MTV Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production. “As the lives of the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise.” - via MTV.
