Rooney Mara & Jennifer Lawrence: Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue March 2012

The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue is out again. The March 2012 VF cover was photographed by Mario Testino and it’s more of the same as last year. Except they downgraded from the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Noomi Rapace, who was over-the-fold on last year’s cover, with the MEH version from the Fincher remake. Thankfully, Rooney Mara’s sharing the cover, so there’s only so much room for her entitled whining. However, her dark lip and harsh bangs do throw off the balance of the cover. Right? It’s all pastels and satins and… Mara, still in character to some extent, in the corner. The emo entitlement, it BURNS. Also on the cover, Jennifer Lawrence. Real Doll IRL who looks waxen but pretty.

The left cover panel, the important one since it’s visible on newsstands, includes: Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Mara and Lawrence.  Also pictured, over the fold where no one can see them: Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling.
