Who Is Alan Beiler: Amish Mafia Actor Deletes Social Profiles & Has Ties To Breaking Amish

Discovery Channel admitted Amish Mafia was at least partly faked in its press release a month ago. The sentiment was repeated during the season premiere with a disclaimer warning that scenes had been staged.
The show also revealed the full name and real criminal history of its lead antagonist with poorly-redacted arrest records flashed across the screen that eagle-eyed viewers used to track him down. And now the same viewers, soured and cynical having been lied to throughout the entirety of TLC’s Breaking Amish, learn that they’re probably being lied to again. Since no one on Amish Mafia is quite whom they purport to be.
For example, “Lebanon Levi” is really Levi King Stoltzfus whose criminal history is alcohol and vehicular infraction related and not violent (so far as anyone’s been able to confirm after his real convictions leaked last week) as claimed by Discovery. Another character named Alan Beiler is admittedly an Amish actor and producer who pitched ideas for Amish reality shows back in 2005.
Which has left fans of the show asking: who is Amish Mafia’s Alan Beiler… really?
Beiler was born in Brooklyn, NY although he and his biological mother moved to Lancaster, PA in his youth. Mother and son were reportedly taken in by an Amish family who adopted Beiler at 9-years-old and raised him as one of their own when his mother returned to New York State.
Beiler is introduced to Discovery viewers as the Lebanon Levi character’s event coordinator who plans parties that supposedly earn Levi a lot of money. In the season premiere, Beiler is apparently missing and baited to return with the seizure of his property: a buggy. By the end of the season premiere Beiler, whose criminal history includes evading police on three separate occasions and for more than one week (he had expired registration on his car and he was speeding to evade arrest), is taken to jail and he’s thought of as a liability for drawing so much attention to the (non-existent) Amish Mafia.
Up until Thursday December 13, Beiler had a myriad of social media and personal websites. Including an outdated MySpace with only four photos. He also had a Facebook, YouTube, Plenty of Fish dating profile, and a business website where he admitted to being an actor and producer. All of which have been either heavily sanitised or deleted since the premiere.
The Facebook page for Vie Bisht Productions, his production company founded years ago which featured Amish actors and models, said this until it was deleted: “Alan is a producer/manager and his resume includes movie producer, actor, model, artist, television producer, agent, and manager. He works closely with National Geographic, and owns Simply Beautiful, an Amish modeling agency. Currently he has several television shows in the works and is focusing on building his resume even further.” The business tagline: “Welcome to the home of the black Amish man.”
The business website linked to YouTube videos of Beiler and the adoptive Amish parents featured on Amish Mafia.
Another site BlackAmishMan.webs.com from 2010 noted his various works in the entertainment business. Including working with National Geographic to film an Amish wedding for Amish at the Altar. The show featured Sabrina Burkholder of Breaking Amish whose photos were also posted on the production company’s now-deleted Facebook. The Facebook featured photos of Burkholder, a model at Beiler’s production company/ Amish modelling agency, nearly a year before Breaking Amish was filmed. One photo showed Burkholder with the NatGeo Amish at the Altar cast on June 17, 2011. Another photo of the same date was captioned “Amish Model Sabrina.”
His ExploreTalent.com profile (Kate Stoltzfus from Breaking Amish also had a modelling profile on there years ago) lists Beiler’s age as 35-years-old. He’s also 6ft tall, athletic build and African-American, although the other information is blank.
His deleted PlentyofFish.com profile noted he has a high school education, lives in Ronks, PA and is separated from his wife-of-five-years (he’s also listed as 35-years-old although the About Me, which could have been old, listed him age 32 and the BlackAmishMan site from 2010 had him at 33). The PoF profile said he was looking for a beautiful woman who likes to travel. He described himself as romantic.
Lastly, in a post titled “Amish Reality Show – Vie Bisht,” the name of the production and modelling company, Beiler pitched ideas for Amish reality shows in the comment section of SheKnows.com back September 21, 2005. Among his suggestions: Amish parties (he’s portraying a party planner on Amish Mafia) and English people living Amish (the inverse of which is Breaking Amish).

Amish Reality Show-”Vie Bisht”
I wanna give you a little bit about my background. I was born in Brooklyn but I was adopted by an Amish-Mennonite family when I was very young. Along the way I learned how to speak the Amish language Pennsylvania Dutch. I grew up having alot of Amish friends, which really comes in handy now because they want to help me with my show. Normally, Amish people wouldn’t go on camera but because I have alot of friends and know their language, I have plenty of Amish who will do it. Some freak out so much that I’m this black guy that speaks Dutch, they can’t help but get involved. So here are some of my show ideas.
1. Interview Amish about current affairs, sports, war, gas prices, etc.
2. Ask them about secular things for ex. -What does drop it like it’s hot mean to you? -What does ghetto fab mean to you? -Would you put 20″ rims on your buggy?
(These are just a few of the questions on my list. We interviewed this Amish guy who, when we asked him the ” drop it like it’s hot question”, said, “Does it mean that if you’re holding a piece of hot coal and it’s too hot you drop it?”)
3. Amish have different bands that play. I’d like to follow the band around and document it. I also want a segment sort of like Making the Band. Have them audition to be in a band.
4. Have a segment where they freestyle rap. Have them battle eachother also.
5. English vs. Amish kids. Compare/ contrast their toys, behavior and way of life.
6. Amish Idol. Have people compete.
7. Film Amish parties- their night life.
8. Pimp My Buggy- Put spinners on the wheels, install tv’s, install sound systems, put hydraulics, make a drop-top roof.
9. Hottest Amish rides. Have the bikes, cars, trucks, and suv’s that the young Amish drive. Some of the Amish kids drive Escalades with spinners and so forth.
10. Follow Amish sports- hockey, baseball, football, donkey-baseball (this is like baseball but instead of running around the bases, you have to ride on a donkey.)
11. Have celebrities interview the Amish. It would be funny to see Snoop Dogg doing a segment called “Ask the Amish”.
12. Do a segment where an English family (means non-Amish) would live with an Amish family and adapt to their ways.
13.Have regular people live in a house and dress amish and obey there rules.
14.We have reagular people live in a house like amish,no electic no tv ect.They also must drive buggys.Basicly live exactly like amish people.
