Bradley Cooper Is People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2011
November 16, 2011 by Hollywoodite
Somehow, someone found Bradley Cooper sexy/ attractive enough to declare him People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2011. Really? There were hopes for Neil Patrick Harris and other guys more talented and charismatic. And yet… Cooper. The 36-year-old doesn’t feel like a deserving nom, let alone winner. Okay, he didn’t actually win anything, but he still shouldn’t have been People’s choice. He’s just so lacking. He’s not good looking, he’s not especially likeable or talented, and he’s not charismatic. He’s meh. He’s cocky. He’s overconfident and overrated with nothing to back it up. There are so many other guys who’ve made a splash this year, the Michael Fassbenders etc., who would have made a prettier cover and who have even more fervent fans. Ugh. Well, Cooper spoke to People about his “win.”
“I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title],” says the Hangover actor, 36. “I think I’m a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying.”
When he learned he’d been crowned Sexiest Man Alive, the “first thing I thought,” he says, “was, ‘My mother is going to be so happy.’”
“[I’m a] single 36-year-old male… If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business, you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.” – via People.
