Kourtney Kardashian’s Kids Adjust To Life With Kim’s Daughter North West

Kim Kardashian and her three-month-old daughter North West have been living together at the Jenner home in Calabasas with Kanye West since North’s June birth. Although the thought of Kim and Kanye living with her parents and two sisters while caring for their newborn seems a bit overwhelming, they appear to have adjusted just fine. Plus, it’s nice having family so close by.
Over the weekend, Kourtney Kardashian opened up about the time she and her two children, 14-month-old Penelope and three-year-old Mason, have gotten to spend with Kim and North and while Penelope is absolutely loving her, Mason has been a little uneasy about the new addition.
“Whenever [Penelope] sees [North West] and, you know, the second she walks into the room, Penelope gets so excited,” Kourtney told People at Los Angeles premiere of Thomas & Friends: King of the Railway. “We never really had cousins that were close in age … so I’m excited.”
As for Mason, Kourtney claims that he is suffering from a case of jealousy when it comes to North and the attention she gets from her mama Kim.
“I think he gets a little jealous because he and Kim were so close and so he doesn’t understand because he’s not the big center of attention,” Kourtney explained. “I don’t think [Kim] knows what to do; she’s just like ‘You don’t like me anymore?’. She feels like he … is getting older and changing, and I think she gets confused and doesn’t know how to handle it. He’s like, ’Why don’t you like me anymore?’ cause he sees her with the baby.”
Kourtney has done her best to ensure that Mason isn’t feeling neglected, but there’s only so much she can do. At the end of the day, there is a new baby in the family and for Mason, the adjustment will take time.
“I give him so much attention, and he gets so much attention from everyone else that I’m like I don’t even know,” she says.
