Brandi Glanville Says Xanax Was Her “Friend” After LeAnn Rimes Became Stepmother To Her Kids
September 27, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin
Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes have been feuding since 2009 when LeAnn and Brandi’s then-husband Eddie Cibrian engaged in an affair on the set of their Lifetime movie Northern Lights. From there, Brandi and Eddie split, and he went on to marry LeAnn. Thus making her the step mother from hell — at least for Brandi.
Since being granted with the official step mother title, LeAnn has been tweeting photos and details about Brandi’s kids to her 488k followers on Twitter. On Halloween of last year, LeAnn tweeted a photo of herself, Eddie, and the boys with the caption, “family.” Then, when she released her latest album which chronicles her and Eddie’s affair, she went as far as to say that one of Brandi’s sons sings her song about the affair. The setup definitely hasn’t been the ideal situation for Brandi.
“It’s the worst pain you could ever imagine,” Brandi told Bethenny Frankel on her daytime talk show. “You think your heart is broken after you get a divorce? Wait until there is a girl tweeting pictures of, ‘Oh, look at my family.’ You have no idea.”
For Brandi, the first couple of years were certainly hard to adjust to and at times, lead to bad decisions, but now, she is in a much better place. “I feel like she almost does it to antagonize me, but at this point I’ve accepted it,” Brandi says. “It took me awhile, but Xanax was my friend when that started happening. I was like, ‘You can have the man, but those are my babies.”
