Teresa Giudice Admits That She Doesn’t Understand Her Charges

Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice are currently facing 50 years behind bars stemming from a 39-count indictment in July. Although the charges against them, which include bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and making false statements on loan applications, are certainly serious, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star isn’t really sure what all of them mean.
In a new interview with E! News, Teresa sat down to address her charges, and admitted that she doesn’t understand them as well as she probably should. “There’s things like the way they title them, it’s strange, it’s not vocabulary that I use every single day, so some of the charges I don’t understand,” she explained, “but I am learning, you know, I am understanding what they are.”
In addition to facing serious jail time, Teresa’s husband, who isn’t a United States citizen, is also facing a possible deportation if he is found guilty.
The couple’s current circumstances are far from ideal but Teresa is doing what she can to maintain her life and stay positive for her family. Luckily, she’s gotten tons of help and support from her loved ones and fans.
“Everybody’s been supportive,” Teresa said. However, while positive energy is good to have around, it doesn’t exactly help her. “The thing is, there’s nothing that anybody could do that could make things better or worse…The best thing to do is to give Joe and I are privacy and that’s it.”
“We’re just being positive and moving forward. Basically, you know, I’m being the mom kinda keeping it all together,” she said. “I’m the rock. I can’t fall apart. If I fall apart the rest of the family is going to fall apart. I’m just focusing on my four beautiful daughters, my husband and that’s it.”
The Giudices are due back in court in February.
