Watch Robert Pattinson Good Morning America Interview: GMA Asks About Kristen Stewart
Robert Pattinson appeared on Good Morning America this morning August 15, his first GMA interview ever, where they greeted him with his favourite cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch rather than ice cream, melted ice cream, which he received on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
The GMA interview was conducted by George Stephanopoulos who half-heartedly went for the jugular about the “elephant in the room,” asking whether Pattinson was okay (he is, he already told Jon Stewart and HLN on Tuesday), and what Pattinson wants fans to know about his personal life, which would be nothing because Pattinson doesn’t talk about his personal life in interviews. “Everybody just wants to know: how are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?” asked Stephanopoulos.
Pattinson gave a fitting non-reply: ”They seem pretty excited about… kind of whatever. Um, I’d like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is just 130 calories [a serving!] Pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant.” Asked how he handles personal stuff during interviews, Pattinson replied: “You go into it to do movies. I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life. The reason why you go onto TV is to promote movies.”
Asked if he ever “gets used to” the chaos, Pattinson says: “If you start getting used to it, then you become crazy. But, uh, it’s nice. It’s like being on the craziest theme park ride. Totally exciting, but eventually, at some point, you’ve got to have a break.”
“You seem to be doing okay,” Stephanopoulos cloyed further, still not mentioning Kristen Stewart by name. “Yeah, yeah,” responded Pattinson.
