Despite Rumours Teen Mom 2 WILL Return: “All Four Girls are Coming Back”
Back in January, the New York Post claimed that production sources “confirmed” Teen Mom 2 had become too much of a self-destructive train wreck, mostly because of Jenelle Evans’ personal problems, so MTV had decided to shut the whole thing down.
MTV issued a vaguely-worded non-denial saying no final decisions had been made on production but then in April other sources told Ashley’s Reality Roundup that the show was pretty likely to be canned.
However, this morning, RadarOnline.com’s sources say the show is back on and Teen Mom 2 season 5 has already begun filming (and their television production sources have a pretty good track record with stuff like this).
“Yes, season 5 is happening,” a source close to production confirmed to RadarOnline.com. “All four girls are coming back.”
Earlier this week, rumors started circulating that a fifth season was in the works when Leah’s new husband Jeremy Calvert tweeted about needing a bed so that MTV could film him and Leah.
“@AshleyHomeStore very upset with the customer service and sales reps at your location in South Charleston, WV. Very poorly organized,” Jeremy wrote on June 4. “@AshleyHomeStore we thought we chose a better furniture store. @MTV will be in to film and @TM2LeahDawn and myself don’t have a bed! #sad”
Filming has commenced with some of the Teen Moms, a source said.
One eyewitness in North Carolina told RadarOnline.com: “I saw Jenelle with her mother Barbara Evans, her son Jace and her new boyfriend Nathan at a restaurant with the camera crews and they were taping their lunch.”
A source close to production told RadarOnline.com that Chelsea will start filming “in a week or so.”
The Teen Moms have been given the in-car cameras to record scenes while they’re driving, another insider said.
“Each of the girls was told back as early as January that they were going to do season five, but they had to keep it a secret,” the source said. “There is always a ton of drama with these girls so they hope to capture that again.” – via RadarOnline.
