Dina Manzo Got Jacqueline Laurita Booted From RHONJ, She Responds
Dina Manzo has yet to announce whether or not she will be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the show’s sixth season, but since her daughter recently shared a photo of what looked to be a Bravo contract, it’s safe to say that her return is extremely likely. However, it didn’t come easy for the show’s producers.
According to a new report, Dina was just about sold on a comeback after hearing that Caroline Manzo had quit the series in order to focus on her new show about The Brownstone, but there was still one major thing holding her back — and her name was Jacqueline Laurita.
“When Bravo told Dina that Caroline got a spin-off, Dina said, ‘Jacqueline has to go, too. It’s her or me,’” a source reveals to In Touch Weekly.
In regards to why Dina was so against having her two family members as co-stars, the source claims it was all a matter of revenge. “Dina started it because she wanted Caroline and Jacqueline to quit the show when she left [in 2010],” the source explains. “They didn’t, so this is her way of getting back at them.”
Speaking out in response to the allegations, Jacqueline tells In Touch, “I understand why Dina wouldn’t want me on the show: She doesn’t want to address family issues on-camera!”
In addition to Dina’s return to the series, three new wives, Amber Marchese, Teresa Napolitano, and Nicole Napolitano, who have no ties to the current cast members, will be joining the show.
