VIDEO Lea Michele on Cory Monteith’s death: “Grief goes with you every day”
Glee actress Lea Michele was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show recently to promote her new single, Cannonball.
During the interview, the star talks about the sudden loss of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, who passed away from a mixture of drugs and alcohol abuse in July.
Lea says it’s hard grieving in the public eye because people judge others’ grief, “If you smile, it’s like, ‘She’s so happy.’ If you look sad, it’s like, ‘She’s terrible.’”
She adds, she returned to work so soon because “Going to work is no harder than being at home… and opening a closet and seeing a pair of shoes. Grief goes with you every day, whatever you doing.”
“I literally lived every day of my life feeling like the luckiest girl in the whole world,” she gushed. “I just thought he was the greatest man.”
