2 Chainz Arrested and Has Photo Shoot with Police

It was a very interesting Valentine’s Day for Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz, who was arrested on drug charges Thursday night in Maryland.

Sgt. Marc Black a spokesman for the Maryland State Police stated, troopers stopped the van the rapper was in along with six other passengers for speeding at 10 p.m. in Easton and smelled marijuana in the van. Upon the search of the van, a backpack was found containing a grinder (a device used to crush marijuana before it is smoked) and traces of marijuana. The grammy-nominated rapper was then taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. If found guilty, 2 Chainz is facing up to a year in jail and a fine up to a $1,000.00.

An interesting turn to the incident was the picture 2 Chainz took with two Maryland State Police Officers.

Soon after being released from jail, the I’m Different rapper took to twitter and went on a rant posting “UMES we on the way, dam police fukn wit a nigga, we fina turnUP” and “We to jail for a grinder???REALLY??” He also posted the picture he took with police with the caption “Locked me up and then Wanted pictures smh”(shaking my head). According to the rapper, he only took the picture because the police asked him to take it.

But the Like Me rapper did not disappoint his fans and after his release from jail he went on to perform at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Could this be the beginning of legal drama for 2 Chainz? Only time will tell.
