Adam Levine: Honey Boo Boo Is “Literally The Worst Thing That’s Ever Happened”

Adam Levine is generally pretty insufferable. It’s subjective, but he’s seen as womanising, he brags about having unprotected sex with models, and he’s not very likeable which includes his appearances on The Voice and American Horror Story.

At least Levine has a talent though, he’s a musician. Which is probably why he’s currently on his soapbox excoriating a seven-year-old child who doesn’t know anything aside from what producers and her mother tell her to say and do. And Levine’s hipster/ arty ambitions are probably why he thinks he’s in a position to denounce Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson as the “decay of western civilisation.”

Asked by GQ Magazine what’s scarier, ”Waking up not famous or waking up as one of Honey Boo Boo’s parents?” He replied: “Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the DECAY of Western civilization. Just because so many people watch the show doesn’t mean it’s good. So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened. It’s complete f**king ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. F**k those people. You can put that in the magazine: F**k those idiots. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that; like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, ‘F**K THOSE PEOPLE.’”

He’s referring to the ratings success of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo that scored highs of nearly three million viewers-per-episode; making it one of TLC’s most successful shows ever.
