Adele Covers Vogue UK October 2011, Shares Too Much About Vomit

September 6, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Adele has scored a major, prestige cover. As in, the kind of cover you frame and/ or buy copies for your whole family. She covers October’s Vogue UK. Adele looks good on the cover, if airbrushed to heck. And if hidden behind her own hair. And if sitting to hider her figure. And if drowned in her outfit.

Hmm….

Let’s get to the over-sharing.

The singer has recovered from the illness that took her out of commission for weeks (that’s what happens to real singers, not everyone mimes). And she’s talking about her performances and off-stage persona. We really get some British self-deprecation, fat jokes, and tired anecdotes about vomiting before each performance.

On what happens before each performance: “I puke quite a lot before going on stage,” Adele, 22, tells British Vogue in its October issue. “Though never actually on stage… But then, I s**t myself before everything…The bigger the freak-out, the more I enjoy the show!”

On whether she’ll become a sell-out: “I don’t want to see me plastered everywhere… If they offered me £10million, I’d be like f*** off. Besides if I was going to be the face of anything it should be the face of full-fat coke.”

On why Adele is great, according to Adele: “I enjoy being me; I always have done. I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who wants to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life… I have [body] insecurities, of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.”

On why Adele’s friends are great, according to Adele: “[My weight has] just never been an issue; at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.” – via Vogue UK.
