Adriana De Moura Reveals Why Making Up With Joanna Krupa Was Necessary, Explains Her Lateness To Their Reconciliation Lunch

October 2, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin

Adriana De Moura and Joanna Krupa set up a reconciliation lunch earlier this year after an ongoing feud stemming from the second season of The Real Housewives of Miami in which the pair had been involved in a physical altercation. On Monday, the lunch, which was filmed for the show, aired on Bravo and while Joanna arrived promptly and ready to tackle their issues, the same can’t be said of Adriana.

Not only was Adriana late, she was 51 minutes late, but according to her, she has a good excuse.

“I am Brazilian, we are notoriously late,” she explains. “It was British versus Brazilian time. But there were a lot of procrastinations on my part. I was afraid, anxious and all of that plays in deep down so I was dragging my feet afraid of what would happen.”

At that point in Adriana’s life, she was preparing to walk down the aisle with her longtime love, Frederic Marq, and as she transitioned into her life as a wife, she didn’t want to be dragging any unnecessary baggage behind her.

“It doesn’t make any sense to be fighting with her,” Adriana tells Radar Online of Joanna. “The big fight started when she jumped in and we became enemies, but we’ve realized it was a reaction to a situation and so now we’re trying to put that all behind us.”

Adds Adriana, “I’m in such a good place in my life and I don’t want to spend any energy fighting with Joanna.”

Still, Adriana isn’t quite ready to accept sole responsibility for their earlier altercation. ”As if I was just out of the blue getting angry? She forgets quite easily,” Adriana explains of their infamous spat at Lisa Hochstein’s home. “I spent one hour of her insulting me, cussing and everybody has a breaking point. I emphasized my reaction. I’m usually an easy person to get along with but don’t step on my toes. I was standing my ground.”

Regardless of who was at fault, Adriana has no intentions of looking back. Instead, she plans to move forward in a much more positive way with Joanna and the rest of her co-stars. “It is hard to live with a grudge and it is harder to hate than love,” she says. “Hating somebody is negative and that is hurting me. I want to be free to be happy and free to love.”
