Adrienne Bailon Used Fake Boyfriend to Scare Away Clinger Ex-Boyfriend Rob Kardashian

Fans who have been watching Keeping up with the Kardashians for several years will probably remember a scene in which, shortly after cheating on Adrienne Bailon, Rob Kardashian is being driven to the airport by one of his sisters in order to convince Bailon to become a couple again. They had been together, briefly lived together, tattooed each others’ names, and then he cheated on her. They split and he basically started harassing her to win her back. It didn’t work.
So, as depicted on the show, he intended to fly to see her and win her back in a misguided and unwanted romantic gesture. She wasn’t interested and had already grown sick of the incessant phone calls. To make the point that she was over it, a message was sent to Kardashian’s phone saying to stay away because Bailon had moved on. The message Kardashian read out on air was ostensibly from Bailon’s new boyfriend at the time. However, she reveals years later on The Real, it was an email from herself and a girl friend purporting to be a new boyfriend so Kardashian would get the message. Because, apparently, he doesn’t respect Bailon’s boundaries enough to stay away when she says to go away; however, he respects the boundaries of a male stranger.
“I was my own fake boyfriend,” said the 29-year-old.
She continues, explaining to her co-hosts on The Real, “What all y’all thought was that it was written by my boyfriend… It was not written by a boyfriend. That was written by me and my girl sitting on the sofa one day deciding to ourselves, ‘Well, how can we make him stop calling me?’”
“I got left alone,” she added. “I think it worked!”
