Adrienne Maloof Is “Happier” After Leaving The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Adrienne Maloof’s use of a surrogate rocked the set of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ third season. Maloof’s former friend Brandi Glanville knew the top secret information and after getting frustrated with something Maloof had said to the other women, she exposed it on an episode of the show in front of her and Maloof’s co-stars. The scene horrified Maloof and led her to skipping the reunion and reportedly being fired for doing so.
Now that she has had time to recover from the devastating turn of events, Maloof is looking back — and from the sound of it, she doesn’t miss The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills one bit.
“I’m happier that I’m off the show,” Maloof admits to Life & Style. “I don’t miss the cattiness or the below-the-belt cheap shots.”
Although certain scenes are meant to be fun, such as the cast’s dinner parties and trips abroad, even they wore on her after a while. For Maloof, there’s nothing exciting about “having to be in hair and makeup for three hours for two minutes of shooting.”
“I’d have to be up at 5:30 a.m., and then there’d be a party until 11 at night,” she explains. ”I don’t miss the cameras right outside my bathroom door or the grueling eight-hour interviews!”
After Maloof left the show, her close friend and co-star Camille Grammer followed, opting to instead put her energy towards her family. “I didn’t want to expose my personal life so much anymore. I had done that and was over that,” she told the Huffington Post back in March. “I care very much for my family and children and that show tends to take me away from them. I really want to focus on them right now.”
