Alex McCord & Simon van Kempen Back To Reality TV For VH1′s Couples Therapy

The purported perfect couple will appear together on VH1′s Couple’s Therapy (a show turned down by Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison because they had no relationship problems).
Alex McCord & Simon van Kempen were recently, suddenly fired from The Real Housewives of New York City along with Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon. None of the aforementioned are full-time cast anymore. However, they can reportedly return next season if their replacements don’t pan out.
McCord has since been hired by RumorFix.com to report on episodes for this season. And she and her husband are reportedly being followed by VH1 cameras feigning relationship problems so they can stay on television.
A source tells The Huffington Post’s Rob Shuter: “For a couple of days last week, they were being trailed by a film crew, both in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Cameras were seen loading in and out of their Brooklyn brownstone, and they shot in at least one restaurant. It was just them with no other cast members involved.” Shuter notes the couple’s flimsy cover story: “The couple says they are just filming a family Christmas video (in July), but TV insiders confirm they will be back on reality TV this year as one of the new couples on the VH1 series, where they will be discussing life after Housewives [and] becoming famous in the reality world.”
