Alyssa Milano to Host Third Season of Project Runway All Stars
Alyssa Milano is one of the more successful actresses in Hollywood today. She may not be an Angelina or a Cameron, but Milano been consistently working since 1984 when she landed the role of Samantha Micelli in Who’s The Boss? Now, she will be adding another gig to her always expanding resume — a hosting role on Project Runway All Stars.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Milano has officially signed on to be the new host for the Lifetime series, replacing Carolyn Murphy who held the position during season one and Angela Lindvall who took over for season two. Milano will join returning judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman for the show’s upcoming third season.
Throughout her years in showbiz, Milano has dabbled in just about everything. She’s released four albums, done voice overs for video games, and she’s a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. All of that likely won’t do her much good while hosting the show, but what will is her history and experience in the fashion industry.
Milano launched Touch by Alyssa Milano, a pro-sports-themed apparel for women, in 2007. Since then, the brand has gone right to the top of the market — it’s even featured in the official NFL shop. This girl knows fashion and she knows success, so her addition to the series seems to be the perfect fit.
Last night, Milano made her television return in Mistresses, a new series on ABC which follows the scandalous lives of four girls living some not-so-typical lives. Mistresses airs every Monday night at 10/9c.
Filming on Project Runway All Stars begins later this month in New York City.
