Amanda Bynes Transferred to UCLA Medical Center

Students at UCLA may see a familiar face coming on campus soon.

TMZ exclusively reported that Amanda Bynes was transferred from a psych facility in Ventura County to UCLA’s Medical Center yesterday in the hopes of her eventual recovery. The 27-year-old actress has been showing various signs of mental illness, ranging from schizophrenia to post-traumatic stress disorder, Fox411 reported. While medical cocktails have reportedly helped to treat her said mental illnesses, Bynes needs the absolute best care to ensure that she gets back on her feet. She was photographed yesterday, as she hid in a blanket and got into a car on her way to the new facility. Her mother Lynn, who has been given temporary conservatorship over her, was reportedly the main influence in deciding to transfer Bynes to UCLA because of its high national facility rankings. Good for you, Lynn. That will hopefully go on to mend the alleged complicated relationship between Bynes and her parents.

Bynes was even supposed to head over to UCLA even earlier than this week, according to TMZ, but a bed was not available in the facility until yesterday. What an odd reason to not admit somebody. Regardless, this is definitely a huge step for Bynes to get back to her old, loveable self. TMZ also reported that, while it is highly likely that schizophrenia is the root of the actress’s recent idiosyncrasies, doctors are researching more and performing more evaluations to fully diagnose her.

Get better soon, Amanda.
