Amanda Bynes Wishes She Only Weighed 100 Pounds

Remember when Amanda Bynes was the relatable teenager who starred in What I Like About You? She was the original Nickelodeon girl and a role model for other young girls. My generation grew up with her and loved her goofiness mixed with hilarious comedy. Bynes grew up and became a beautiful comedic actress who starred alongside Channing Tatum, the sexiest man in 2012, in She’s The Man.
Recently, her behavior has diminished all of her achievements and she’s turning into Lindsay Lohan.
Bynes was arrested for a DUI on April 6, 2012. Previously, she announced on Twitter that she was retiring from acting at the age of 26. The DUI was a catalyst for all of her bad behavior to come. She was photographed smoking pot in a parking lot in the Valley. After dealing with the paparazzi in California, she moved to New York and locked herself in public bathrooms while firemen tried to coax her out. According to TMZ.com and the New York Post, Bynes was evicted from her NYC apartment this month because her landlord and fellow residents were annoyed with her drug usage and wild antics. She allegedly was nice, at first, introducing herself to everyone and so forth. But later on she left her door open at all hours, replaced the bulbs with red ones, and smoked pot morning, noon, and night.
In addition to her eviction, which she denies, Bynes was quoted by US Weekly in her 25 Things we didn’t know about Amanda Bynes. She says “I gain weight quickly so I need to work out constantly. I moved to New York City and I love it! I lost four pounds since I moved. I’m 121 pounds… my goal is 100 pounds.” Along with a DUI, eviction, and drug usage, Bynes possibly also suffers from anorexia or body dysmorphic disorder.
Hollywood normalizes the party lifestyle and pressures these girls to be thin from a young age. Bynes and Lohan are prime examples. Hopefully Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and other young breakout stars can avoid the futures of Bynes and Lohan. Luckily, the worst thing Gomez and Swift have done is attach themselves to immature and player-type men.
