Amanda L. Markert Denies Ex-Boyfriend Donn Barbitta Thought He Was A Baby Daddy
There are a lot of claims being made about Pauly D’s baby mother, Amanda Markert.
In the past few days, it’s been revealed that this single mother and student had a one-night stand in Vegas last year and now she and the reality star have a child together, Amabella.
There was a row over paternity, because as recently as this week Amanda had a boyfriend, Donn Barbitta, seen interacting with Amabella in many now-deleted photos from Amanda’s Instagram (some photos of Donn and Amabella are still on Donn’s Facebook).
Pauly D had a DNA test to prove he’s Amabella’s father, and he definitely is the father of the baby girl. However, sources add, until a few days ago Donn thought HE was the father to the baby girl.
The Hooters waitress who bedded reality star Pauly D during a one-night stand and later gave birth to his love child lived an EPIC lie, allowing her live-in boyfriend to believe the child was his… when it actually was not.
Donn Barbitta, who lived with Amanda Markert in Egg Harbor, N.J. until this week, believed five-month old Amabella was his offspring.
He only learned of the ultimate deception when news of the paternity broke earlier this week.
“He broke up with Amanda on Monday,” a source close to the situation told Radar. “He’s been humiliated.”
When contacted, Barbitta confirmed he had been in a relationship with Markert but remained tight-lipped.
“I really don’t want to talk about this right now… but you have seen my Facebook photos,” he said, in an exclusive interview.
Indeed, Barbitta’s Facebook page is littered with images of of the proud ”dad” cradling tiny Amabella, the most recent on October 2.
In one message posted on July 26, two months after the child was born, he referred to girlfriend Markert as his “wifey” and said “I love you so much baby.”
“Even through the ups and downs were stronger than ever,” he wrote. “Today is your day so let’s enjoy it and party it up boo!!” – via RadarOnline.
Amanda sort of denies all this on Twitter, though, writing “As for my ex (below) he was great with both of my kids and loves them like his own.” Indeed, the Instagram photos she just deleted showed Donn interacting with her two kids happily. Until about a week ago, when posting stopped suddenly.
Amanda clarifies what appears to be RadarOnline’s misreporting, adding, “He never thought Amabella was or could be his but because of the love he had for her, he was happy to raise her like his own.”
Also, there’s a reason the father of her son from a previous relationship isn’t around, and that ex-boyfriend is a big part of the reason Pauly D wants custody of Amabella; baby daddy #1, Lance Gerbino, is a felon wanted on drug charges. So, Amanda has been raising the kids with Donn.
Although, now, she’s a recently-dumped single mother who might lose custody of her daughter if Pauly D wins sole custody.
