Amish Mafia’s Jolin Zimmerman Is On Bebo & Facebook; Where Is He From? How Old Is He?

This weekend, a lot of information was revealed about the real names, crimes, and social profiles of the cast of Amish Mafia. Including the personal life of Amish Mafia’s Esther Freeman Schmucker.

In addition to the information revealed about the real names, ages, and crimes of Esther Freeman Schmucker, Levi King Stoltzfus, Alvin Stoltzfus Lantz, and John Freeman Schmucker, a reader, Mike, has kindly passed along a tip about Amish Mafia’s Jolin Zimmerman.

Zimmerman has a few social profiles and he appears to be active online with profiles on Bebo.com (last active March 11, 2009), and Facebook with a self-run fan page (with the help of what appears to be at least one admin going by “M”). Incidentally, he also appears to use Change.org signing a petition about “The State of Pennsylvania: Legalize Hedgehogs as pets in the state of Pennsylvania.”

On the Bebo page, there’s a profile photo that looks a lot like Zimmerman, even accounting for the photo’s age. Note: the Bebo photo gallery is empty and his profile photo does not enlarge but here’s the profile photo, left, compared to a still from the show, right.

Here’s the actual page where he’s listed as “Single” and from the “US.”

* Under “Music” he writes: “it really depends on my mood-linkin park, buck cherry, disturbed, kid rock, default, brooks and dunn, trace atkins, big and rich, mims, jayz, ludacris, ozzy, def leppard, and lots of other bands.”

* Under “Films / TV Shows” he writes: “redline, tokyo drift, bad boys2, the protector, triple x, the bourne series, a walk to remember……. / UFC!, pinks, cops, cribs, greys anatomy, survivor man, miami ink.”

* Under “Books / Magazines” he writes: “where the red fern grows, one more round”

* For “Activies” he writes: “hockey, football, scca, workin on cars, mma, dirtbikes, fourwheelers, riding horses.”

* For “Love It” he adds: “friends, cars, steak, guns, dogs, workin out, shady trail.”

* For “Hate It” he counters: “liars, fakers, cheats.”

There’s also a fan page that appears to be him with 4,600 likes.

He appears to have opened the Facebook page on December 11, 2012 and most of the messages are from fans with a mixture of hate mail and positive responses to the show. He wrote December 20 though: “The amount of hate mail I get is just obscene seriously are people that jealous of some one they have to result in hate speech and verbal threats?” He added January 4, of a landmark moment: “100 messages of people wanting to beat me up.”

Back on November 27, 2012 Inthefingerlakes.com confirmed Zimmerman’s identity in a post titled “Penn Yan Man to Play Role in Discovery’s Amish Mafia.” At the time, it was reported that “A number of local Penn Yanners reported they recognized Jolin Zimmerman in the trailer. The show was filmed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and features four men: Levi, Alvin, Jolin, and John. Jolin is described as a ‘Mennonite foot soldier’ in Discovery’s description of the show, and is the blond-haired man wielding a shotgun in the show’s official trailer.”

He appears to be from Penn Yan, New York. A commenter on ITFL’s article noted: “I was watching the show and I see that Jolin’s truck is registered in New York State (expires 2/14 to be exact). I think that further strengthens that fact he is from NY.” Other commenters confirm he’s from nearer to ”Dresden, Ny. About 6 miles east of Penn Yan.”

The Change.org profile for Zimmerman also lists his current location as “Penn Yan, NY.”

As does a profile on MyLife.com that gives his age as 25. The My Life bio say: “Jolin Zimmerman was born in 1987. Jolin currently lives in Penn Yan, New York.”

Lastly, on the Facebook page, someone asks: “jolin are you from penn yan ny?” to which he does not reply, but he “likes” the comment. Later, a different fan expounds: “Penn Yan, NY is a Mennonite community settled by Lancaster PA Amish/Mennoites. Penn Yan stands for Pennsylvania Yankee.” On season one episode one of Amish Mafia, Zimmerman is introduced as being Mennonite.
