Amish Mafia’s Jolin Zimmerman on Facebook: Says Amish Mafia Exists & The Violence Is Real

January 14, 2013 by Hollywoodite

In a previous post, it’s revealed that Amish Mafia’s Jolin Zimmerman is on several social networks including Bebo and Facebook.

Although the Bebo.com page reveals little, the Facebook page is rather illuminating in regards to Zimmerman himself and the veracity of his show.

Amish Mafia’s Esther Freeman Schmucker says on Twitter that the show is real. Moreover, she’s harassing anyone who doesn’t like the show. Using the same account, Schmucker tells a fan the show is real by explaining: “yes the characters are all who they say they are.”

Zimmerman seems to be telling fans on his Facebook page the same thing. In response to hundreds of messages derided the show as “fake as wrestling” he insists the Amish mafia is real, the fighting on the show is real, and the shooting of guns and scenes of racketeering are real, although it’s “edited” to look more extreme than it is. He also says any naysayers on the page are just “jealous.”

In a post dated December 12, 2012 he talks about the show’s veracity: “Do your homework on what mafia means before you want to say we are fake we help people out in the community in return for later favors most of the way shit is on the show is edited to look way worse then it did an yes I really did shoot that guys car her later came and gave her money for the buggy wether you want to love us or hate us we are here if you don’t like us don’t watch as simple as that.”

On December 20, he continues: “AND the fight scene was not staged those where real punches being thrown I feel bad for the people with so much negativity you must lead really horrible lives if talking smack on face book is the only thing that makes you feel better about your self you need Jesus…”

However, Zimmerman appears to have been caught in a lie because Discovery admitted recently that the fights WERE staged.

The York Daily Record/ York Blog reported January 10, that Discovery confirmed by email that scenes of fighting were fake.

Laurie Goldberg, a Discovery Channel spokeswoman, told YorkBlog.com the following about a supposed MMA fight that took place in a barn: “The fight is a recreate[d] since the actual barn fights are sporting events that would need to be sanctioned.” Pressed about Zimmerman’s purported MMA credentials, Goldberg replied: “No more to comment. The show states upfront that recreations are used.” And, in all fairness, they are honest about using recreations.

Incidentally, in another Facebook post, Zimmerman wonders aloud whether “Lebanon” Levi King Stoltzfus is related to Katie “Kate” Stoltzfus from Breaking Amish, writing: “i wonder if levi is related to kate from breaking amish on discoveries sister channel TLC hmmm” to which fans reply that, yes, Kate is Levi’s third cousin. Moreover, incredulous, fans ask why Zimmerman doesn’t know or just ask if he and “Lebanon Levi” know each other as portrayed on the show.
