Amish Mafia’s Lebanon Levi: Who Is Levi King Stoltzfus? How Old? What Are His Crimes?
December 13, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Amish Mafia season one episode one was more illuminating than perhaps Discovery Channel had intended.
Upon announcing the show earlier in the year, Discovery admitted in its own press release that the show was fabrication acted for the cameras. This was reiterated during the pilot. Not only were the scenes reenactments but Discovery also admitted that there’s no proof the Amish Mafia exists and the whole show is based on “legend.” So… conjecture and folklore. Also revealed on the show, information about its leading man, an antagonist who goes by Lebanon Levi (there’s a place called Lebanon in Pennsylvania, where the show’s set).
In the opening minutes of the show, “Lebanon Levi’s” Lancaster, PA criminal record is flashed onscreen with his mug shot, dates of his arrests, and his redacted real name. Discovery probably assumed it flashed by too quickly for anyone to notice. But the poorly-redacted arrest record revealed the guy’s name to be Levi K. Stoltzfus.
Turns out, Levi K. Stoltzfus is his real name. Specifically, 33-year-old Levi King Stoltzfus of Lancaster, PA. Date of birth June 30, 1979.
A commenter on this site, “The Truth,” kindly provided more information about Stoltzfus, noting: “Well the arrest record is real at least the lancaster one is. You can search for it through the pa criminal database. However I know why it is all redacted because they wanted people to think that he was a hard core criminal. Which he isn’t. He has other hits in the system also. All of them are DUI’s and misc taffic violations while he was driving. Nothing hard core…” With a link to Stoltzfus’ arrests in 2000 through 2008.
Indeed it is a myriad of samey drunk-driving, safety infraction, and similar offenses.
Included in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Court Summary: “Stoltzfus, Levi King [Address redacted]; Aliases: Stoltzfus, Levi; DOB:06/30/1979; Race: Caucasian; Sex: Male.”
Some of the crimes include: “Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol; Purch Etc Alcoh Bev By A Minor (Probation Max: 3 Month(s)); Dr W/Bl Alc Lev .10% Or Greater; Minor Prohibited/Operating W/Alcohol; DUI: Highest Rte of Alc (BAC .16+)1st Off (Min: 6 Month(s) Max: 6 Month(s); DUI: Gen Imp/Inc of Driving Safely -1st Off; Fail To Use Safety Belt; Exceed 55 MPH In Other Loc By 18MPH; Disregard Traffic Lane (Single); Careless Driving; Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol.” Click the image to enlarge.
For comparison, here’s a link to the redacted records broadcast on Discovery (note: the above pertains to the Lancaster, PA arrests but not the Shelby, OH arrests).
