Reports: Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Wedding Plans, Jennifer Aniston’s Reaction

There are three main players in the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tabloid saga; four, if you include Justin Theroux with Jennifer Aniston.
National Enquirer has had months to stew on/ dig into this story. And the results are… disappointing. The tabloid’s details are something of a generic rehash of information that’s been floating around for a while. Like a Summer wedding, at the couple’s French home, flying people in, etc. etc.. Which is glib exposition and not really an exclusive. But, for what it’s worth…
Brad and Angelina will tie the knot at their French chateau this Summer, and his parents will renew their vows at the same time!
Plans are already underway to ferry dozens of [celebrity friends] to the couple’s newly-renovated $70 million estate, where they’ll say “I do” on August 11, his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, sources say.
“Angie would have liked a very small ceremony, but Brad is set on a big romantic event at Chateau Miraval on his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary,” said a source close to the actor.
Meanwhile, some Pitt family insiders are shocked that after seven years and six kids together, the A-list couple plan to wed.
“Engaged? I thought they were breaking up,” said Randy Williams, a relative who lives in Brad’s hometown of Springfield, Mo. “I didn’t even hear about it until everyone else did.”
On April 13, a rep for Brad, 48, confirmed that he’s engaged to the 36-year-old Oscar winner, and designed her ring featuring an emerald-cut, six-carat center stone.
The six carats symbolize each of the couple’s children; Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, said a source close to the Jolie-Pitts. “The side diamonds around the big sparkler represent their plans for future children,” added the source. “They definitely want to expand their family!”
Most of the 350 expected wedding guests will fly into either Marseille or Nice, then head to the wedding site by helicopter, said the source.
Topping the guest list are Brad’s parents Bill and Jane Pitt, his brother Doug and sister Julie, plus Angelina’s brother James Haven and her godparents, British actress Jacqueline Bisset and German acting legend Maximillian Schell.
A long list of Hollywood heavyweights, including actors George Clooney, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise, Paramount chairman Brad Grey, directors Ridley Scott, David Fincher and Clint Eastwood, along with their significant others and families, are also expected to attend.
The couple’s children are also getting into the wedding planning.
“Maddox has already proclaimed that he wants to be best man and Zahara has taken charge of the other kids’ duties,” said the source. “She wants Pax to be the ring bearer, with Shiloh and herself as flower girls. Knox and Vivienne will scatter rose petals. The only glitch is that Shiloh, who prefers boy’s clothes, wants to wear a tuxedo instead of a dress!” – via National Enquirer.
And the Enquirer is still claiming Aniston “collapsed,” upon learning her ex-husband would remarry. Which seems unlikely. Aniston was conscious the entire time and feverishly emailing “EVERYTHING IS FINE!” to People Magazine, Hollywood Life and E! Online, and anyone else who ran consecutive stories about Aniston’s reaction to the news.
For her part, the only official reaction to anything has been to deny TMZ.com’s fabricated JustJen wedding plans. Because Aniston is not planning her own wedding.
But the Enquirer insists the Brange wedding is causing tension in Aniston’s relationship with her boyfriend, Theroux.
The tabloid claims that Pitt phoned Aniston about two weeks before the announcement, which tallies with Life & Style’s claim that the engagement was secret for weeks. ”Brad called Jen the first week of April to tip her off about the engagement,” says a source.
The same source claims Aniston threw a one woman pity party the second she got off the phone, to the chagrin of Theroux. “Rather than being supportive, Justin blew up at Jen for continuing to obsess over Brad,” says a source. “It was awful. Jen needed comforting, but Justin was too hurt and angry. He accused Jen of still being in love with Brad, and they wound up having a huge fight.”
An insight into the pro-Aniston spin: the 43-year-old “quickly shifted into damage control and publicly boasted about her own happy love life, according to insiders.”
