Angus T. Jones Backpedals After Making Anti-Two and A Half Men Comment
Now we know it isn’t just Scientologists that have a play in the Hollywood acting world. Evangelists are on the scene with the Two and a Half Men star, Angus T. Jones. He released a video yesterday outlining why the show is “filth,” shouldn’t be watched, and that everyone should throw out their television.
Let’s give Jones the benefit of the doubt and say that he’s acting like any other 19-year-old. Except he’s a 19-year-old making $350,000 an episode. Jones makes $15 million a year and he has the audacity to complain about the content of the show. If you’re really upset and want to show allegiance to your church, then make a donation instead of a national video impeding on your income.
The show has been renewed for its 10th season and now he decides to complain. Jones should know not to mess with Chuck Lorre after the Charlie Sheen ordeal. He soon realized that being unemployed like 10% of Californians is infinitely worse than selling your soul to television Satan.
Jones issued a statement apologizing to the staff on set, Lorre, and his colleagues. He tries to backpedal and says, “I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”
Realistically, this is Jones’ only acting gig and he knows he better live it up now.
