Who Is Anna “Chickadee” Shannon’s Baby Daddy: Ex-Boyfriend Caleb Clark Wants Paternity Test

Around three million people are watching each episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on which we’ve learned that all the girls have different fathers from one another and most of those fathers, and the mother June “Mama” Shannon, have criminal convictions. People still have questions outside of the girls’ paternity and how the parents make money. There’s also the question of who is the baby daddy of five-week-old Kaitlyn Shannon.
This week’s National Enquirer claims an ex-boyfriend of Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, 18, has come forward to claim paternity of the newborn.
Caleb Clark, 19, from Griffin, Georgia believes he may be the father of the baby because he dated Chickadee for two years during high school.
Apparently, Clark is keen to establish paternity to get the baby “out of that house and away from that family.” However, Clark says, his ex-girlfriend isn’t cooperative in producing the child fearing the 19-year-old will win custody and he cannot afford an attorney to compel cooperation (he mentions not having money and in the same article calls Chickadee a “gold digger”). She reportedly would agree to allow the paternity test if Clark appeared on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. But Clark dislikes the show he calls a “circus.”
He’s only seen the baby for a few minutes, the day after she was born, after which access has been denied.
Clark tells the tabloid he intended to marry Chickadee, until she admitted cheating on him (so a test would be the only way to establish which boy is the father). Clark claims Chickadee admitted cheating in an email that said: “I kinda had sex with someone the week before we did, but I trusted him to wear a condom, but I don’t think he did, and that’s what scares me.” How does one “kind of have sex”? Well, she had unprotected sex outside of her relationship with Clark.
Clark, who is reportedly working towards a career in law enforcement, explains: “In my heart, I am still sure that baby is mine. My dad walked out on me and my mom when I was a baby and I was adopted (by my stepfather). I don’t want her to be one of those people whose mommy tells them, ‘Your daddy wasn’t there for you.’”
For her part, Chickadee has refused to name her daughter’s father saying only he’s not involved in their lives.
Mama said this on the show: “You know, I had Anna when I was 15. I’m not gonna lie to you. Yes, it is very hard. I had a job. Had to worry about taking care of a baby. I dropped out and got my GED. I mean, it was just too much for me. Anna’s baby’s daddy ain’t in the picture. You think that boy’s gonna love and care about you? Negative. All that boy is wanting is to get in your biscuit and get a little piece, and he’s running.”
