ANTM’s Renee Alway Is A Homeless Drug Addict Whose Family Had To Cut Her Off Financially
That makes at least two girls from America’s Next Top Model cycle eight who are homeless drug addicts whose families begged for intervention from a celebrity doctor.
First there was Jael Strauss, hooked on meth, homeless and stripping for a living, whose family asked for help from Dr. Phil. Then, last week, it was revealed her cycle eight co-star Renee Alway was also hooked on drugs and homeless.
Alway was recently arrested, and not for the first time. Now Alway’s family is basically staging an intervention after cutting her off financially (their money was feeding Alway’s drug habit).
According to TMZ.com, Always’ sister confirms the former model has a serious drug problem. Also, Alway is homeless and in “survival mode” when she’s committing crimes for drug money. Adding, ”I am trying to find her some professional help. I would like to get her help from Dr. Drew, Dr. Phil or even Oprah.”
Alway’s mother says, the former model’s drug addiction is so bad she no longer receives financial support from her family (Alway is or was married and has a son who was newborn when she first appeared on Top Model in 2007… it’s not clear what happened to her family or whether the money was supposed to support them too).
Alway is currently in jail at a correctional facility in Banning.
