Are Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Married: Denial After Claiming To Be Married In Cosmo

Miley Cyrus covers the March 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine inside of which she makes several mentions of being married to Liam Hemsworth.
Inside the issue, she slips while talking about dating: “I’m happy I don’t have to date anymore… All my friends are guys, so I hear the s**t guys say about dating. One guy called me and said, ‘Miley, I don’t know what to do… this girl won’t leave my house. It’s 6:00 and I have a blind date at 6:30.’ And I was like, ‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are cruel!’”
In response to a question about her attraction to Hemsworth, whom she’s been dating since she was 16-years-old on the set of 2009′s The Last Song, Cyrus, 20, continues: “I’ll literally look at him and [I’m] like ‘You are hot, dear god.’ The other day, I turned on the pool heater and it was steaming, and he walked outside and took off his clothes and jumped in the pool. I was like, ‘I’m gonna faint… the hottest guy of my life is in a steaming pool. This looks like a Playgirl shoot.’ So I took a photo and made it the background on my phone. My best friend grabbed my phone and was like, ‘Who’s that? He is so hot!’ That’s my hubby!”
A source tells HollywoodLife.com it’s a figure of speech and they’re not married: “Miley isn’t [legally] married. She’s speaking metaphorically. In her mind, she’s married to Liam and there’s no other man for her.”
That appears to be true since they’ve shared photos wearing what appear to be wedding rings, although they denied that too, and Hemsworth made a similar slip-up last year telling a crowd they got married.
Although Cyrus’ reps are quiet today, Hemsworth’s reps say they’re “definitely not married.”
