Avril Lavigne Engaged To Chad Kroeger: Avril Lavigne’s 14-Carat Engagement Ring
Avril Lavigne is engaged to Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger. Really. Her rep confirmed to People.com Tuesday evening, much to the hilarity of everyone including their own fans.
As recently as January this year, Lavigne was photographed together with ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner. Starting February, says a People Magazine source, she began dating Kroeger with whom she co-wrote a song for her fifth studio album. The source explains: ”A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together.” Another source says: “He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited.”
Six-months of dating later, Lavigne, 27, and Kroeger, 37, are engaged and they’re on the cover of their native Hello! Canada Magazine.
She tells the magazine what she sees in her fiance: “He makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive.” Kroeger says of his fiancee: “I knew I was falling for her. It was incredibly powerful and something I’ll never forget. I feel like the luckiest person alive.”
The Hello! Canada cover is included on which Lavigne is showing her 14-carat diamond engagement ring.
