Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock’s Brother Claims She ‘Settled’ For Chris Siegfried

Desiree Hartsock fell in love with Chris Siegfried during the latest season of The Bachelorette and on the finale, they became engaged. From there, the couple has been flying all over the country, doing interviews and sharing their love. They even moved in together just last week. However, according to one family member, Desiree may not be completely happy.
“Desiree went on the show because she wanted to get married so badly and she wanted the family and to have kids,” Nate tells Life & Style. “Obviously Chris wasn’t her first choice.”
What Nate is referring to is Desiree’s feelings for Brooks Forester who broke up with her during the cast’s finale trip to Antigua. Nate claims that he is the person who Desiree saw a future with, but now that she has chosen Chris and accepted his proposal, there’s no turning back.
“She is happy with him and with how it ended up,” Nate explains. “I think this will be a short engagement. I could see a wedding happening even quicker than next summer. I think it’s obvious she settled for him, but Desiree is at the point where she’s ‘all in’ with Chris, and I think he is just happy he gets to be with her.”
Desiree and Chris seem to be happy from the outside looking in, but even Desiree’s pals aren’t convinced that the pair will make it down the aisle. ”She is madly in love with the idea of love and was madly in love with Brooks, but once she and Chris live together, she’ll realize she settled,” an insider claims. “She’s deluding herself and she’s deluding Chris.”
