The Bachelorette’s Emily Maynard Covers In Touch Weekly Magazine
Another reality star covers this week’s tabloids, following Kim Kardashian on the cover of Star, Teen Mom 2′s Leah Messer on the cover of OK!, and the Osbournes on the cover of People.
This is a source report, following very similar covers last week, about current Bachelorette Emily Maynard. In this report from In Touch Weekly Magazine, it’s claimed that Maynard chose the show over her daughter, Ricki, to late fiance Ricky Hendrick. This sounds like something of a smear campaign from Hendrick’s parents (the paternal grandparents) who reportedly don’t like Maynard for what they perceive as famewhoring and exploiting their granddaughter.
Bachelorette Emily Maynard may be on her way to a happy ever after, but at what cost? In the new issue In Touch, insiders reveal the bitter fight between Emily and the multimillionaire parents of her late fiancé (and daughter Ricki’s father) Ricky Hendrick.
“They were beside themselves when they found out she wanted to put little Ricki on TV,” an insider tells In Touch of the [paternal grandparents], who have financially supported Emily and Ricki since their son’s death in a 2004 plane crash. “They think it’s outrageous that she’d be putting their innocent granddaughter in the middle of this media circus.”
While a friend of Emily’s tells In Touch that reports of a deep rift are untrue, sources close to the reality star say otherwise. The decision to become the Bachelorette has “really strained their relationship,” reveals the insider, who adds that while Rick and Linda tried to accept Emily’s choice to compete for Brad Womack’s affections on The Bachelor in 2011, they’ve been against her return trip to the airwaves from the start.
“Mr. and Mrs. Hendrick are the sweetest people you’ve ever met, and they care about their granddaughter,” says the insider, adding that the couple worries about how she’s coping with the bizarre parade of cameras and unfamiliar men. – via In Touch Weekly Magazine.
