Report: Basketball Wives Cast Demand More Money; They’re Threatening To Walk Out

Several members of the cast of Basketball Wives have already been fired for not adding enough drama nor the right type of drama to the production in addition to a culling of the cast of Basketball Wives: L.A..

So it’s a little surprising to learn that the cast of Basketball Wives proper think they have the power to be making demands upon the producers for more money, on pain of a walk-out, when producers have already dismissed other women for less (for example, BBWLA Gloria Govan was fired for getting married without inviting the camera crew).

According to a new report, the cast of BBW is demanding a pay rise to return next season. Apparently, VH1 bosses will just replace anyone who pushes this too hard.

The Basketball Wives are drawing a clear line in the sand for the network execs: either up their salaries or they’ll walk. This is according to sources connected with the show.

Filming began last week for the 5th season but Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman and Suzie Ketcham do not have locked contracts.

According to our sources, the [women] are in the process of renegotiating their contracts and they all want major pay raises, claiming the show does quite well for the network.

VH1 is refusing to [pay] more cash. Before filming started, [executives] made it clear that salary increases would not happen and if any cast member had a problem with that they could be replaced.

Despite the deadlock… production schedules were sent out and the girls began filming in hopes a deal would be worked out shortly. So far, a deal has not been reached and neither side is budging so the [women] are planning to walk out next week if VH1 can’t agree to the terms.

Calls to VH1 have not been returned. – via TMZ.
