Basketball Wives Drops Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols

It will come as no surprise to anyone who watched the entirety of Basketball Wives season four that many of its cast will not return for season five. Not least the producer and lead, Shaunie O’Neal, who threatened to leave rather than co-sign the violence of the rest of the cast (she claimed it harmed off-screen business relationships and the reputation of African-American women in general).

But, today, it appears O’Neal has opted to stay and just drop the “dead weight” says TMZ.com who reports three women will not be welcome back.

* Royce Reed: Who did little but cry to her father, flirt with her latest boyfriend, and talk to Tammy, will be axed because she’s not liked by the more popular cast members.

* Jennifer Williams: Who did little but argue with Evelyn, distance herself from the rest of the cast, get in one major fist fight, and endure a protracted period of making up with other cast members. She’s also considered a “liability” after suing one of the cast.

* Kesha Nichols: Who avoided any major beatings by ducking, crying, and running away. A lot.

The women will be replaced although it’s not confirmed by whom.
