Report: Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy Divorce Publicity Stunt For Her Talk Show?

It was reportedly a shock to Jason Hoppy when estranged wife Bethenny Frankel filed for divorce and sought sole custody of their daughter in addition to child support.

The former couple have been living separate lives for some time, although husband and wife continued to shared a residence to lessen the impact on their toddler daughter. And now Us Weekly sources claim Frankel is tired of the charade and she wants Hoppy out of the home they once shared.

Other sources claim the marriage failed because Frankel put money before love; something she denies. Other sources seem to concur, and go even further, by claiming that Frankel’s only concern in the divorce is what it’s going to cost her figuratively and literally.

RadarOnline.com is reporting more of the same today, by alleging that the whole thing is a contrived sympathy play for ratings ahead of her talk show, Bethenny, airing September 2013.

“It wouldn’t surprise anyone at all if Bethenny and Jason got back together, just like NeNe Lekes did with her husband, Greg, after she filed for divorce. Jason has been spotted still wearing his wedding ring, and there isn’t anything Bethenny wouldn’t do to keep her name in the press,” a source exclusively tells Radar.

“Bethenny’s talk show is scheduled to appear until this fall, and she doesn’t have any other reality show to do in the meantime. If Jason and Bethenny did get back together, it would generate a ton of positive press, and certainly boost her ratings of the talk show,” the insider added.

A Frankel confidante is skeptical that Frankel would stage a fake split from Hoppy for attention, saying: “I have a very hard time believing that Bethenny would put her family through this for publicity. She is devoted to daughter, Bryn, and her marriage just wasn’t working. Could they get back together? Absolutely. Anything is possible.” – via RadarOnline.
