Beverly Hills Nannies Reunion: Ari Bellamar’s Hair Before & After; Is That A Wig?
September 6, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Reality show, if we’re still calling them that when they’re this contrived, Beverly Hills Nannies had its reunion this week.
It was mostly a non-event, with the nannies bragging throughout that they earn, at least, “$25 per hour” going up to “$100 per hour” which is in the modest six-figures, sometimes with little academic or other training. And they kept bragging about their perks, trips, and other things bought on the dime of lonely-sounding rich mothers who are hiring friends not people to look after their kids.
One of the funniest moments from the show though, an entire non-sequitor about cast mate Ariane “Ari” Bellamar’s hair.
Apparently, ABC Family has been getting emails about how crappy her hair looked throughout this season; one of the letters was read on air. “Ari, you say you’re living the Beverly Hills life but what is up with your hair extensions. How much did you pay for those? Not much I’m guessing?” To which Bellamar replied: “Sadly, my hairstylist was fired after seeing the footage.” Asked whether she liked her old hair on camera, she replied “Absolutely not.” She explained: “I think that, in Beverly Hills and in L.A., you can get charged exuberant amounts of money for a whole lot of nothing. And you just don’t see it until you see it on TV. So people can charge you $2,000 to do something and then it’s not right.” (note: the malapropism, she probably meant to say ”exorbitant”).
Asked what they thought of her new hair, all but one of the nannies stayed silent. Although, one whispered to another “It’s a wig.”
Included is a photo of the hair from earlier in the season and then once it was fixed for the reunion. It looks like she had badly done extensions, but replaced those with a wig for which the hairline was too low for her forehead.
