Beverly Hilton Hotel Staff Fired For Talking About Whitney Houston

February 23, 2012 by Hollywoodite

According to RadarOnline.com, several staff members of the Beverly Hilton Hotel were fired following the death of Whitney Houston.

At the time of the body being found, there was a convoluted string of events during which several members of hotel staff were reportedly early to the scene. According to TMZ.com’s reports at the time, this included hotel security. Details of the state of the room and exactly where/ when/ how Houston was found leaked to the media immediately so it’s likely several first-responders spoke to the press in addition to the official statements from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Friends and family including Bobbi Kristina Brown and Ray J arrived on the scene, only to be turned away outside room 434 of the fourth floor, where Houston lay. Photos of the daughter and on-off boyfriend standing in the hall soon leaked to TMZ.

Houston was removed eight-hours after she died and TMZ had a photo of the body being removed on a gurney. So, there were probably several guests taking cell pictures and/or staff leaking information and photos as police were attempting to clear and process the scene (reports said that, with the Clive Davis pre-Grammys party downstairs and the hotel making news, guests were asked for their ID and key to prove there was a reason for visiting the fourth floor).

And RadarOnline adds that a couple of staff were caught and reprimanded for their part. With lower-level staff being fired altogether (it sounds like the s**t rolled downhill and they were made an example of).

“The hotel employees that talked to the media were fired because they violated hotel policy,” a source told RadarOnline. “They weren’t high level employees, but the hotel didn’t want anyone to talk about Whitney’s tragic death.”
