Beyonce Chops Off Her Hair, Debuts Pixie Cut

Beyonce is known for her long, flowing curls which she’s been rocking since fans first met her in Destiny’s Child. But everyone likes a little change now and again and last night, Beyonce made a big one. Just after midnight, the wife of Jay-Z and mother of Blue Ivy debuted a new pixie cut on Instagram.
Although the photos didn’t have a caption, they didn’t really need one. After all, the photos speak for themselves. In the photo above, Beyonce shows fans her new ‘do up close. In the photo below, Beyonce gives a different view from both the side and behind.
It’s a look that fans aren’t used to seeing on the R&B star and one that will surely take some getting used to, but for Beyonce, it’s certainly a fun change.
While there’s no word on what prompted the cut, Beyonce could have been prompted by her friend Rihanna who is known for her always evolving hair styles which recently included the pixie cut.
Earlier this week, Beyonce made headlines after riding her pedal bike from Lower Manhattan to Brooklyn for her third and final concert at the Barclays Center as part of her Mrs. Carter World Tour. The event was reminiscent of her husband taking the subway to one of his shows at the same venue last December.
While Beyonce isn’t scheduled for her next performane until next Saturday, she’ll be moving full-speed from there. After performing in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, both in the United Kingdom, Beyonce is headed back to the states for a show in Philadelphia. Then, it’s off to Brazil and several other countries south of the U.S.
