Beyonce Nearly Three-Months Pregnant, Confirms Pregnancy At MTV Video Music Awards

Beyonce is pregnant.
The 29-year-old wife of rapper Jay-Z announced her pregnancy in the most tedious way possible; she walked the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, rubbing her stomach and then she did the same on-stage after unbuttoning her sparkling D&G costume. It was kind of annoying. Cute, but still annoying.
Beyonce said only “I have a surprise!” while on the red carpet. Aside from teasing the paparazzi, there was only a tenuous confirmation. Us Weekly/ People and others still had to go to her rep for confirmation The rep replied simply, “I’m happy to say it’s true.” Hours after the confirmation, Beyonce performed Love On Top at the VMAs, rubbing her stomach, smiling at her husband, and letting the crowd know using the most teasing wording possible, “Tonight, I want you to stand up on your feet… I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me!”
She could have just said “I’m pregnant,” once, and been done with it rather than repeating the stunt from the red carpet. But whatever.
Us Weekly has more information since the couple is struggling to form whole sentences. Beyonce is “close to three months along… She wasn’t going to announce it but she is so excited she couldn’t hold it in.” Okay, that would explain the giant Lavin gown which would be an odd red carpet choice for a contrived pregnancy announcement. “Jay is ecstatic and over the moon. He really wanted this so badly,” says a source. “They barely told anyone… They kept it really secret until they were sure and now she simply couldn’t wait to tell the world!”
The pregnancy has screwed Beyonce’s shooting schedule for A Star Is Born, an upcoming Clint Eastwood-directed film in pre-production. And Jay-Z is on tour (Beyonce probably won’t be able to tour to promote 4). “They will have to make adjustments,” adds the source, “but this is worth it!”
According to Deadline, the Warner Bros. movie was scheduled to start filming February 2012 when Beyonce will be about to give birth. They’re going to reschedule… at least she wasn’t fired for getting pregnant.
