Big Brother Star Britney Haynes’ Baby Girl Has Cancer

Big Brother’s Britney Haynes and her husband Nathan “Ryan” Godwin welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Tilly Elizabeth, into the world on July 13, and weeks ago, their joy turned to sadness when they received devastating news about the baby’s health. Over the weekend, Britney addressed her fans with news that her baby daughter is suffering from cancer.
“On September 1st, we were among the daily 720 sets of parents to be absolutely devastated with a Childhood Cancer diagnosis,” Britney wrote on her personal account. “September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Please take the time to pray for all of these children, our sweet baby included. We appreciate each and every one.”
While there was question at first as to the validity of the Facebook post, it was later confirmed by one of Britney’s cast mates and then by Britney herself. Yesterday, she posted the following message on her Twitter account (which she had not used since August, leading to speculation that August was when she had first received the news of Tilly’s cancer):

Days after Tilly was born, Britney took to Twitter where she addressed fans with her special announcement. “My life changed on July 13th and will never be the same!” she wrote. “My sweet little girl is happy, healthy, and amazing. Tilly Elizabeth; 8lbs 3oz!”
In hopes at helping Britney and her family through this difficult time, Big Brother’s Canada Insider has set up the Pray For Tilly fund. The fund’s description reads, ”Britney Haynes of Big Brother 12 and 14 announced the devastating news today that her newborn baby Tilly was diagnosed with Cancer. As we all know medical bills are very expensive, so this is set up to go directly to Britney and Ryan to try and help out as much as we can!”
