Bill and Giuliana Rancic To Welcome Baby #2 With Same Surrogate Used For Son Duke

Bill and Giuliana Rancic welcomed their first son, Duke, in August of last year via surrogate and now, they are ready to expand their family once again. While the pair had hoped to conceive a child on their own, they experienced fertility issues and even after a handful of IVF treatments, Giuliana was unable to conceive. Still, they wanted a baby badly and eventually made the decision to use a surrogate. The process went smooth and recently, the reality couple took the necessary steps to once again welcome a child via surrogate.
“We’ve got everything in place,” Bill, 42, confirms to Life & Style, adding that he and Giuliana have decided to use the same woman who birthed their first child. ”We’ve got our [gestational] carrier, who carried Duke — she’s on board! Having a brother or sister in the house is definitely in the future for Duke.”
Although surrogacy seems to be Bill and Giuliana’s chosen route of having children, the pair still has dreams that Giuliana will one day successfully conceive a child. However, they don’t plan on trying until she has completed her cancer-fighting treatments — and that’s not for another five years.
“Of course, we’d try for a baby on our own,” Bill states. “That’s something Giuliana would love.”
But if it doesn’t happen, Bill won’t mind. He’s happy to have children anyway he can get them! He says, “It doesn’t matter how you get your little baby. When you’re holding the baby in your arms and you see their smile, it doesn’t matter.”
