Life & Style: Brad Pitt Fears For Daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt

January 26, 2012 by Hollywoodite

This post is lip service to this week’s base and objectionable cover of Life & Style. The headline of which reads: “NEW PHOTOS Brad’s Fears For Shiloh, As Angelina cuts Shiloh’s hair shorter than ever, Brad breaks down worrying that his little girl will be ridiculed.”

Honestly, the cover reads as malicious supposition about a little girl who has, reportedly, asked to be called by assorted masculine names (John, Ben, Gregory, Shax) in order to more closely-identify with her brothers, and dressed like them. Angelina Jolie has been asked about this before and, rightly, blithely mentions that Shiloh is just a child expressing herself. The child appears to be transgender or just going through a phase. It’s not a big deal. But this cover’s making it a big deal. Ugh.

A psychologist with too much time on their hands has spoken to the tabloids: “This is a culture where kids get picked on if they don’t look like other kids. Shiloh’s already different, being the daughter of superstars, and she may already feel ostracized because of that.” Another random source claims: “Shiloh definitely suffers from middle-child syndrome. Everything she does is to get attention because she craves being the center of it all.” Pitt, reportedly, fears his eldest bio daughter will be picked on for being “different.”
